Flow-Cytometry has become an essential tool in the research and clinical diagnostic laboratory; it aids in the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of treatment of diseases including several tumors and various types of cancers.

While the range of available flow-based diagnostic tests and the number of worldwide laboratories that possess a flow cytometer are ever increasing, the sub-Saharan region although with an increase incidence of these types of diseases, has not benefited from this increasing number of flow-cytometry laboratories for obvious reasons.

Doctors of Charity is gearing up to provide this necessary medical service as a support service to Physicians and Surgeons at the various teaching hospitals and Federal Medical Centers Across Nigeria. This collaboration is being facilitated through Pathologists at a leading center in the United States, The Federal Ministry of Health and the CMD’s of beneficiary facili-ties and most importantly DHL international. When fully developed, tissue samples will be ferried from beneficiary facilities in Nigeria, to our collabo-rating facility here in the United States under international standards and codes. Upon completion of testing and analysis, diagnostic, treatment and treatment monitoring information are provided to the patient, through the Physician and the facility.
